Liteon + ck3 + probe + jungleflasher

Alright guys I would just like to give my experience on flashing this drive with the following apps/hardware:
DVD: Liteon DG-16D2S.
H/W: Connectivity Kit 3 light, with probe via sata pci card.
Software: Jungleflasher (windows xp)

Alright so I followed the guide best as I could to my knowledge and I kept finding myself not being able to detect the drive on my sata port... So i got to reading and such and after a little bit of play I figured out how to get it to detect every time.

Step1: Turn on pc, connectiity kit on or off doesn't matter, WITH the Sata cable UNPLUGGED

Step2: Use the ck3 to eject the drive, slide the drive half way in

Step3: Be in windows

Step4: Plug the sata cable in

Step5: Open jungleflasher

If you use these steps in order it should detect your drive on the sata port every time. Not sure if the tut I was reading was really clear about it but if the sata cable is in while the pc is booting it doesn't seem to work.

Can I ask you a question?
I am also using a VIA 6421 card, and as the tut said,I uninstalled the VIA 6421 card dirver, installed portio32(did you do this?), but jungleflasher can not detect my liteon dirve, the error message said"No VIA ports were found",could you please help me out of this, I really preciate your hlep! I have been trying to figure this out for days..........

I installed the via driver (the latest one)
installed portio32 which is included in the new version of jungleflasher
Both are still installed..
I uninstalled the via driver when it asked talking about locking up during flashing... However when I uninstalled it jungleflasher started locking up so I reinstalled it and went ahead with the flash and it all worked out... If you cannot get your drive to detect in Jungleflasher follow those steps I figured out that seemed to work... it seemed important to leave the sata cable off untill your pc is booted and you did the drive half open thing. with the power on put the sata cable in then open jungleflasher that was my biggest problem.

I haven't had any issues with having the SATA cable plugged in before booting. Although the first time I TRULY had no issues, but the last 3 that I've done, JungleFlasher freezes during the Erase, and I have to write in DOSFLASH.
